The Ottawa Senators have signed Logan Brown to an NHL deal. Brown was selected 11th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft.
Heading into the draft, the NHL Central Scouting Bureau ranked Brown as the 7th best North American skater in the class.
The center signed a entry-level deal with the Senators for 3 seasons. Ottawa’s training camp begins on September 22nd, and Brown will get his chance to participate.
Brown’s father is Jeff Brown, who’s currently the head coach of the Ottawa 67’s and a former NHL defenseman, known for this offensive prowess on the blue line for the St. Louis Blues in the early 1990s.
Logan Brown was born in 1998 in Raleigh, North Carolina, soon after his dad was traded from the Carolina Hurricanes to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
At 6’6’’, Brown is a great passer and has nice vision out on the ice. He also possesses good skills on defense.

He has played for the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL for the past two seasons, and will report to their training camp later this month.
Last season, Brown put up impressive numbers for them, registering 21 goals, 53 assists, and 74 points in 59 games.
Brown will also participate in the four team rookie tournament from September 16-18 that will also host players from the Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
Once training camp with the Senators rolls around, Brown is excited to get the chance to prove himself against that type of competition.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing what it’s like, seeing what I need to work on and seeing what I need to do to get to that next level,” said Brown.
Brown has a tremendous amount of talent, and to get him out on the ice at the Canadian Tire Centre on September 22nd for training camp is a huge opportunity to see where he’s at in terms of development.
