Ottawa Senators Will Add New Section to Arena

The Ottawa Senators are trying to deliver the best in-person viewing experience possible to their fans.
In this day and age, that goes beyond just putting a great team out on the ice to watch. A Senators game shouldn’t just be a place to see great hockey in person, but also an event to enjoy amongst friends who aren’t even hockey fans.
Canadian Tire Centre has served as the home of the Ottawa Senators since 1996, which is pretty old as far as professional sports arenas go.
The team is preparing to move to a new arena in LeBreton Flats, but that doesn’t mean that the Senators aren’t investing in some changes for their fans to enjoy next season.
For the 2016-2017 season, Canadian Tire Centre will add a new section of the arena called the Molson Canadian Fan Deck.
The section is billing itself as a “social and interactive bar.” Although fans seated in other areas of the arena will have access to the bar, the team is announcing that they will be selling season tickets specifically for that fan deck.

The Senators are looking to move to LeBreton Flats as soon as 2021, but for the time being, Canadian Tire Centre will keep pace with other venues around the NHL that pride themselves in offering the very best experience for fans.
An eclectic group of people attend sports games, and teams are very proactive in reaching out to help fans feel engaged.
As professional athletics now have so many other types of activities and options to compete with for people’s attention, teams have to make more of an effort to capture a fan base’s full attention.
Additions like this have a reputation for catering to fans who normally wouldn’t attend a sports game, but that’s not entirely fair. Hardcore fans can enjoy their team in a setting that provides the ultimate luxury. Everybody benefits from the inclusion of a section like this.
The very best arenas and stadiums serve as a medium for not just a sports game, but a community gathering place to watch, talk, and have a great time.
