MATCH-UP HISTORY
Binghamton has won only two out of six this season with the Crunch last winning 5-3 in Syracuse on Feb 21st.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Mike Angelidis, SYR – The Syracuse Captain has 17 goals and 16 assists in 56 contests and is an annoying a pest with his loud mouth chirping away along with an occasional cheap shot here and there.
Shane Prince, BNG – This will be an important quarter coming up for young Shane as his contract will be up and whether or not he returns to the Senators or bolts to Tim Murray’s Buffalo Sabres bringing him to his hometown next season.
THREE KEYS TO THE GAME
1. Last 10 Games Carry-Over – With the Crunch having a record of 4-5-1-0 in their last ten, the Senators in comparison are 5-3-2-0 with a recent two game sweep down in Norfolk this last week. So it appears Binghamton will have the momentum going in.
2. Senators Penalty Kill – The team is doing better and better with the emergence of Buddy Robinson on the special teams and his big reach utilizing his body while creating turnovers giving some offensive chances shorthanded.
3. Defense Needs to Limit Shots Allowed – Anytime a team allows 98 shots in back to back contests with the latest in a two wins in three nights down in Norfolk your going to have problems, but luckily for the Senators, goaltender Scott Greenham saved their bacon.
