MATCH-UP HISTORY

Binghamton came out on top winning 4-1 on Wednesday as they have won 2 out of 5 this season against the Admirals.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Stefan Noesen, NOR – The former Ottawa prospect has been an injury mess as he has missed the last four months due to an Achilles injury suffered in a game against Manchester in Oct of last year. This followed his previous injury with torn ligaments in his knee that saw him miss the entire season prior to. He looked pretty good on Wednesday and also got tangled up in a fight with Brad Mills towards the end of the game. This will be his 16th game in two years at the pro level.

Max McCormick, BNG – This rookie has been dynamite to watch as he doesn’t take a shift off with him always skating, always creating, always hustling and is pretty good in the dot area as well. He has 7 goals and 8 assists in 43 games and still leads all rookies with 113 PIM while mixing it up 9 different times this season.

THREE KEYS TO THE GAME

1. Start Greenham Again – With his 47 save performance in Wednesday night’s victory it has to be a no brainer he’ll get the nod again tonight as he looks to get his game going again and back in action after some letdown’s suffered lately.

2. Senators Penalty Kill They were able to hold down the Admirals on the man advantage on Wednesday as Norfolk was 0-8 including in what would have been a game changer on a 5-3 in the third period with Binghamton up by a goal. They moved up a few spots as the PK is now ranked 24th at 80.8%.

3. Defense Needs to Limit Shots Allowed – Anytime your team gives up 47 then things need to be addressed starting with the defense. Granted there have been a few pieces missing with players injured and a few PTO’s that have suited up over the course of the season, but giving up a league worse on average 34.40 per game is plain out of this world crazy.
