MATCH-UP HISTORY
The Admirals have won three out of four as tonight’s tilt is game five of eight slated on the books, in what will be the final series ever at the Scope Arena for the Senators.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Chris Wagner, NOR – With the Dany Heatley saga now gone, not that it really matters much, 3rd year pro Wagner is the now the main focus as he has 13 goals and 13 assists in 41 games playing center with a really poor offensive output in leading the team, as many components are missing from last season’s squad.
Buddy Robinson, BNG – The big guy playing wing has brought his overall game full circle defensively as once was a liability, has now transpired to be his forte on the penalty kill as when he’s paired up with Derek Grant opposing teams have quite the battle in front of them.
THREE KEYS TO THE GAME
1. Norfolk Moving, Emotions Involved? – With the pressure of the NHL bearing down on the AHL from the West Coast franchise’s for closer proximity’s, this will be Binghamton’s final road trip to Norfolk with the Ads dominating over the years as the Sens will be more than gladly to be done with this 14 hour road trip bus trip.
2. Senators Look to Break Loose – With the club dropping their last four, here is the perfect time to have a couple of feel good wins under their belt in what has otherwise turned out to be a disastrous season leading up to a no-show for the post season.
3. Senators Defense – As the team is struggling to find some goals, they will look for the defense to step in and help out as they are ranked dead last in several categories. Troy Rutkowski has been a late addition on recall from Evansville so he will get some game action as player evaluation’s continue for next season.
