MATCH-UP HISTORY

Both teams have split the first six games as four more are scheduled this season including tonight’s contest, with three in Allentown in the month of Feb and one in Binghamton in Apr.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Brandon Manning, LV – The 24-year-old defenseman from Prince George, BC has had an impact in leading the team with 145 shots while scoring 8 goals, 23 assists in 45 games in his fourth season for the Flyers’ organization.

Darren Kramer, BNG – Leads the league in both PIM with 180 while tied with Kyle Hagel of the Charlotte Checkers with 16 majors, as he has emerged as one of the energy players this season every time his blade’s hit the ice. Entertaining to watch indeed.

THREE KEYS TO THE GAME

1. Specialty Teams – Senators have fallen to 4th place with a 20.3% on the power play, but not so great on the PK as they are next to last at 79.8%. Meanwhile, Lehigh Valley is 17th on the penalty kill at 82.5%, and 14.7% on the power play, good for 23rd slot.

2. Mannino Stepping Up? With Scott Greenham struggling as of late, veteran netminder Peter Mannino needs to take control and get some wins under his belt for the remainder of the season as he has experienced his own issues in net on occasion.

3. Shane Prince vs. Matt Puempel – In what was supposed to be a close duel between the two studs, Prince has become the frontrunner with his 17 goals and 37 points, while Puempel has produced 11 goals and 17 helpers along with 137 shots, good for 2nd behind leader Chris Wideman’s 146.
