MATCH-UP HISTORY
The two clubs have bumped heads four times so far this season with each team winning twice. The Senators return to Allentown hoping for better results than the last time they visited as they gave up three goals in the game’s first 36 seconds.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Nick Cousins, LV – Had a goal and an assist in Friday night’s loss to Albany as he takes over as the team’s top point producer with 24 (10 goals, 14 assists) in 36 games.
Chris Wideman, BNG – As Chris goes the team follows as evident in Friday’s win with him setting up a pair of goals. His positive play on the ice will be key from here on out as the team faces an uphill battle to get back into the race.
THREE KEYS TO THE GAME
1. Senators Must Give 60 Minute Effort – It’s time the team strings some wins together and if they get an early jump after the opening faceoff then that’ll be their meal ticket for tonight’s game.
2. Peter Mannino Looks for First Win – Manny has lost all three starts for the Senators as he will be seeking his first win. He should get the start tonight vs in the past riding Andrew Hammond in back to backs as that didn’t work out very well.
3. Last Game in Allentown Left Bitterness – Binghamton will not be looking to repeat the awful beginnings of the game like the one played on last Dec 17th with the three goals in a span of 21 seconds mess. Senators need to be prepared and get the early goal in setting the tone.
