Ottawa Senators Forwards: Mid-Season Grades

The Ottawa Senators actually had a decent start to the season. Let’s not forget that.

Last quarter’s grades were much easier to do, and in all honesty I was fairly easy in my analysis. Heck, I gave Alex Chiasson an A. Now at the mid-way point, certain things have changed. Here’s how I’m re-evaluating Ottawa in these 2nd quarter grades

The 41 game mark has brought new narratives to the team. We finally began to see Mika Zibanejad produce at an acceptable level, and others have been good as well.

2nd quarter Grades:

"MacArthur’s pace: 24 goals, 46 points"
"Mike Hoffman is on Pace for a 30 goal season"
"Remember that goal he scored vs LA? Wow… https://gfycat.com/LeftHeavenlyClam"
"After being a healthy scratch, Zibanejad posted 14 points in December."

*J.G. Pageau, Zack Smith, Chris Neil, and Curtis Lazar all missing due to time spent else where. Injuries, World Juniors, Binghamton.
