MATCH-UP HISTORY

The Senators and Falcons last seen in action in 2010-’11 with Binghamton winning both games.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Luke Adam, SPR – Adam was traded earlier this week from the Buffalo Sabres to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Jerry D’Amigo, and was sent down to Springfield. Adam is having a productive season scoring 8 goals and 12 assists in 27 games for Rochester prior to the trade.

Alex Grant, BNG – Grant quietly has a current 8 game point streak (0g,9a) in tact entering tonight’s contest. The 6’3 200lb defenseman has not missed a game and rely’s on his quick, accurate slap shot to register points playing in his second season for the Senators.

THREE KEYS TO THE GAME

1. Native Jerry D’Amigo on the Schedule – I’m sure tonight’s game was on the back of the Senators’ schedule requests that were sent in before the season began as he joined the Columbus organization during the off-season, so he can play before the local fans for Springfield. Guess will have to now wait until Apr 18th, the next time Rochester plays Binghamton.

2. Turning it Around on Home Ice – After a rather slow start, the team has turned it around with a current six game point streak at home going 5-0-0-1 dating back to Nov 21st and are 6-3-2-1 for the season at The Arena, while Springfield is road warriors having a 10-5-1-0 record.

3. Shane Prince’s Time is Right Now – With Jean-Gabriel Pageau already securing a spot for Ottawa in Curtis Lazar‘s absence playing for Team Canada, Prince is the next logical call-up if a forward is needed. He has to continue to perform while opening up some eye’s up top with his consistent play as of late.
