Ottawa Senators @ Buffalo Sabres: Our Predictions
The Senshot Panel is back with our predictions for the Senators at Sabres. The Sabres have been a bottom feeder all season long, but have been hot lately. 9 wins in their last 12 is what Buffalo has compiled.
Trevor Shackles (11-17)
With Phillips, Neil, and now Smith out can things be getting better with addition by subtraction? Perhaps. I can’t see Ottawa losing this one, and they should get back to back wins for the first time in almost a month and a half

Since the Sens have won against the Bruins and Canucks recently, it only makes sense that they’ll lose against Buffalo. Because that’s how this season works.

I like what Dave Cameron has done in the early going, I have to take Ottawa in a close win. Bobby Ryan with the big game.

Ottawa’s coaching change seemed to wake up the team enough to kick two bad habits on Sunday: losing in afternoon games and losing in Boston. Hopefully this spark let’s them kick a third: losing to teams that they shouldn’t be.
The Senators aren’t in a place where they can take Buffalo lightly, so hopefully Cameron and his players come to play and put in an effort that respects Buffalo’s surprising rise from league doormat to a club that is at least capable of winning some of its games.
If they do this they should take it handily as Buffalo’s already weak roster is sporting some holes on its defense and should be ripe for the taking. Sens take it by 3-1 with the Hoff – Zibby – Ryan line in on at least one of the goals.

Ottawa Senators win 3-2 over the Sabres. Ottawa and Buffalo have historically had very tight games, regardless of where either team is in the standings. With the Sens getting a gutsy win in a shootout over the Bruins for Dave Cameron’s first win as an NHL head coach, you know the team is feeling good.
Plus, Cameron’s player usage the last two games has been a step up on his predecessor. That being said, the Sens have to remember that Buffalo is very close behind them in the standings. They need these 2 points badly to stay in the playoff picture.
