Game 24: Senshot Predicts Ottawa Senators @ Islanders
Game 24 is here — Ottawa is set to take on the Islanders and the Senshot crew has their predictions. GameDay Preview here.
Trevor Shackles (8-15)
Prediction: After a fantastic win against the Blues, Ottawa has looked totally drained the last two games. The Islanders have been one of the leagues best this year, and I’m expecting a win for them. 5-2 New York.

Travis Valois (9-14)
Senators continue to slide tonight. The Islanders have been playing good hockey, Senators have not.
Ottawa’s goaltending, specifically Craig Anderson has kept Ottawa in it this season, and look for a similar narrative tonight. I don’t think Ottawa gets it done tonight. Islanders win.

Charlie Arsenault (9-14)
I wanted to hold off on my prediction until we found out if Karlsson was alright to play or not. Since he’s playing, I’ll say the Sens come close but lose, instead of being embarrassed if Karlsson hadn’t been in the lineup.
Islanders

Jack Leiper (9-14)
John Tavares is a true superstar, he is also surrounded by key players like Kyle Okposo and Brock Nelson. GM Garth Snows Off-season moves have made the islanders better, where Nick Leddy may end up being a steal.
Despite some curious moves last season, this Islanders team may be legit. I know Ottawa has played great hockey of late, but for whatever reason.. my gut tells me Ottawa gets this one done.

Zachary Prenner (10-13)
The only thing I see really in Ottawa’s favour going into this game is the buzz about Alfie, otherwise the Islanders totally outclass us. Here’s hoping that some of that Alfie magic rubs off on the team and they manage to eek out at least a point. 4-3 NYI in OT.

Josh Chenoweth (12-11)
Sens lose 4-2 to the Isles. New York’s upgrades on defense have done wonders for them, and with Tavares leading their forward corps, the Sens just don’t have the depth to keep up.
