Latest Roster Moves For Binghamton Senators
A couple of player moves developing for the Binghamton Senators as they have released former 1st round pick Ty Wishart. The 26-year-old veteran defenseman has spent the season playing for the B-Sens affiliate Evansville IceMen while recording 1 goal and 1 assist in 14 games and a team leading +10. He recently celebrated his 100th professional assist in a win against Greenville earlier this month. Wishart started out in the preseason with Binghamton before being sent down as he will be playing out the remainder for the Mora IK in Sweden.
It’s too bad the team couldn’t find, or make room for Wishart as one would imagine his size would fit favorably on the smaller ice in Binghamton. The blue line is already crowded up top in Ottawa and in Binghamton and there simply wasn’t any room.

Forward Danny Hobbs has been reassigned to Evansville after his latest recall adding an assist in his five games with Binghamton. The move favors some ice time rather than riding the pine as IceMen have a three game road trip coming up and the Senators are rather healthy up front. (Knock on wood)
Local goaltender Jared Levine was signed to a ATO and will serve as a back up in tonight’s match with St. John’s IceCaps. Levine has participated in past practices with the Senators as the team has not disclosed who will be out for whatever reasons.
Forward Brad Mills will be serving game #15 of his 20 game AHL suspension and will be eligible to return to action on Dec 12. Mills has yet to play a game this season missing the better part of Oct with a lower body injury. Not so sure how his conditioning currently sits as he hasn’t been allowed to participate in any Senator practices, so I doubt he’ll be in the line up right away.
The Senators play the IceCaps tonight at home, visit the Syracuse Crunch on Friday before returning back on home ice on Saturday against the Rochester Americans.
