Here’s the Senshot crew with their predictions for October 24th’s edition of Ottawa vs Detroit. Featuring Craig Anderson in net for the Senators and no Pavel Datsyuk.
Trevor Shackles (7-12)
Last game against Detroit the Senators had stretches of dominance and ultimately won 3-1. I think they match up well and win again on the night of Alfie’s retirement, 4-2 Senators

Jack Leiper (8-11)
I”ll Take Ottawa in this one. They had a good game against Detroit last time around and Datsyuk being out hurts the Wings. I think it will be close, but in the end Ottawa takes it
A big game from Craig Anderson is in the cards, and I definitely think Erik Karlsson steps up this time around.

Charlie Arseneault (8-11)
I’m running low on free time right now, so I asked my mom who would win. She said the Sens. Sens win.

Zachary Prenner (9-10)
Always a little interesting when these two teams meet, as after the whole Daniel Alfredsson saga Detroit has taken on an “other woman” kind of vibe when the two teams clash. Ottawa picked up the win earlier in the season when they were riding some lucky bounces, but I haven’t seen enough from them lately to think that they deserve more than a midling record. Detroit takes it 3-1.

Eldrinson Vado (9-10)
The Ottawa Senators have a busy 4 game week ahead of them, beginning with the Red Wings in Detroit. The last three to four games against the Detroit Red Wings have been very entertaining. The tussles after the whistle and the hits and cheap shots being thrown around make this game that much more entertaining. The Red Wings hold a 6-2-2 record at home which sets a tough challenge for the Ottawa Senators. I’m predicting the Ottawa Senators squeeze by this one, 3-2 Ottawa in Overtime.

Josh Chenoweth (10-9)
Sens lose 3-2 to the Wings. Even with Datsyuk out, Detroit is such a well-oiled machine. They should be able to take advantage of Ottawa’s defensive struggles.
