Here is today’s edition of SenShot predicts, our pre-game round table.  Here is what each staff writer thinks will happen in this afternoon’s game between the Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Josh Chenoweth (5-8)

Sens lose 3-1 to the Leafs. I want the Sens to beat the Leafs so badly, but the Buds, and especially Kessel, just seem to love playing Ottawa.

Zachary Prenner (5-8)

It’s the Sens and the Leafs, so it’s my duty as a fan to day that of course Ottawa’s gonna win this one. Sens take it 3-2.

Jack Leiper (5-8)

Sens lose to the Leafs. I hate to say it, but they’ve had our number the last few seasons. Especially on home ice, as it seems. Toronto is coming off a big Win against New York and wants to be ahead of Ottawa in the Atlantic. Roster questions are still there for Ottawa as Ryan Chiasson and Phillips should be available, but will be dinged up.

Toronto takes it.

Charlie Arseneault (6-7)

Over that past week, the Sens have played some very good hockey. Last night’s loss could be blamed on poor choices by Paul MacLean, not the team itself. That being said, they’re playing the Leafs. The outcomes of these game seem to be totally random, no matter where each team is in the standings. Sens lose.

Travis Valois (7-6)

Ottawa is coming off a shootout loss to Winnipeg, Toronto a high scoring win over the Rangers. I predict this will be a high scoring game.Senators come out with a big win in the battle of Ontario tonight.

Senators win

Eldrinson Vado (7-6)

Prediction : The Leafs and Sens are set to battle at the Canadian Tire Centre tonight and I’ll be in attendance. If Bobby Ryan and Alex Chiasson are healthy and ready to go I’m giving the edge to the Sens. Despite losing in the shoot out last night the Sens did play well which is why a single point was disappointing. I’m going 3-2 Sens in a close rivalry game.

Jared Crozier (8-5)

The Senators season has come down to goaltending and timely scoring.  Lehner has been waiting for his chance to redeem himself from a questionable performance in Boston, and this is it.    Sens win.
