SenShot Predicts: Ottawa Senators vs Boston
Here is today’s version of SenShot predicts, for the first meeting of the season between the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators:
Jack Leiper (4-5)
I’ll say Ottawa takes a W over the Bruins. Boston has gotten off to a rough start and is missing key pieces in Zdeno Chara and Torey Krug. Ottawa’s goaltending has been stellar and whoever the coach goes with has a fantastic game. Ottawa continues to allow too many shots on goal, but their hot offence headlined by Clarke MacArthur has a solid game…leading to a victory.
Ottawa.

Charlie Arseneault (5-4)
I’m not sure if it’s from all the candy I ate last night, but I’m pretty happy, and feeling pretty good about tonight’s game. It was a very close game with the Blackhawks, and there’s no reason the Sens will make it easy for the Bruins tonight (of course, that depends on the roster). Sens win a close one.
—
Eldrinson Vado (5-4)
The Ottawa Senators face yet another strong, Stanley cup caliber team in the Boston Bruins. Not off to the most impressive start for a Boston team but they are gaining ground. Injures from the blue line have hindered the team a bit but still hold a 500. record of 6-6-0. Tonight’s game is in Boston so it makes things that much harder for the Senators to grab some points. Boston haven’t been the nicest to Ottawa over the past few years, my prediction, Boston 4-2.

Travis Valois (5-4)
Ottawa continues to roll tonight. Games like tonight’s match up against Boston are the games that
define a team. Craig Anderson should be in net for the Sens, Rask for the Bruins. It will be important for the Senators to generate offense tonight. I predict a close game that comes to one goal.
Senators win
—
Jared Crozier (6-3)
The Senators have the speed to get in on the forecheck and press the Bruins’ young blueliners. They aren’t the same team without Big Z and although Rask can steal a game he hasn’t been on top of things this season. Going with the Senators again.
