The city is in an essential lockdown and the NHL’s decision to postpone tonight’s game is an intelligent one. Public gatherings such as sporting events can be targeted as questions are still in the air.
No re-schedule date has been announced. Until the situation in Ottawa is resolved no date will be announced. As @TheJordanMady points out on twitter, this is the least important thing you’ll read all day. Thoughts are with those involved.

The situation is not a first for the NHL. A Senators @ Bruins game was cancelled in April, 2013 after events at the Boston Marathon turned tragic.
