PLAYERS TO WATCH

SYR – Netminder Kristers Gudlevskis is expected to start while veteran forward and 2014 AHL Man of the Year Eric Neilson will be making his second preseason appearance.

BNG – Forward Ryan Dzingel (2g, 2a) has been on a roll as well as his counterpart Shane Prince (2g, 2a). Both player’s will play important roles coming up this season.

TOP 3 STORYLINES FOR THE GAME

1.) Offense On Fire – The Senators have scored 11 goals in their first two as the secondary scoring has exploded in finding the back of the net.

2.) Working Out The Kinks – On the flip side, the goaltender’s haven’t fared as well letting in seven between Andrew Hammond (3) and Chris Driedger (4). I’m expecting the un-signed Scotty Greenham will get the start today and prove his role as an adequate back-up.

3.) Fisticuffs Anyone? – After the first meeting that featured three fights, the two clubs played the next game(s) fight free against their opponent’s as the French league has a history of handing out severe suspensions following the aftermath. Look for this game to return to the norm in representing North American standard’s giving the French fan’s something to cheer about.
