3 BIG QUESTIONS

 1.  Is Rick Nash ever going to return to dominance? – Over the years in Columbus, it was one of the big questions in the league – What if Rick Nash ever got on a decent team?  His Blue Jackets days are behind him but he seems like a shell of his former self, lacking that speed and net drive that made him such a special player.  He is more perimeter now and perhaps injuries have taken their toll.

2.  Can the Rangers get back to the Final? – In the wide open Eastern Conference there are any number of teams that could advance to the final to be fodder for the Western winner.  The Rangers will be more mobile on the blue line than they were last year, but they might not be as deep offensively.

3.  Is Lundqvist worth it?Henrik Lundqvist is the highest paid goalie in the league, and by a significant margin.  $8.5M is a lot to sink into any player, let alone a goalie.  Even if that is a top notch netminder.  Lundqvist was good in the playoffs and has a gold medal in his pocket but this contract is a bit much.
