IN – Scott Hartnell, Brian Gibbons, Simon Hjalmarsson

OUT- R.J. Umberger, Derek MacKenzie, Nikita Nikitin

The Blue Jackets pretty much stood pat, and are going to rely on improvement from within to maintain their standing or to improve. Hartnell will become a fan favorite very quickly and is an upgrade over Umberger.
