BOSTON BRUINS

Apr 24, 2014; Detroit, MI, USA; Boston Bruins right wing Jarome Iginla (12) celebrates his overtime goal against the Detroit Red Wings in game four of the first round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Joe Louis Arena. Boston won 3-2 in overtime. Mandatory Credit: Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

OUT – Jarome Iginla, Shawn Thornton, Andrej Meszaros, Chad Johnson

IN – none

STILL PENDING – Corey Potter

Are they better or worse? – The loss of the first liner in Iginla will hurt their depth, but with Reilly Smith and Carl Soderberg emerging they will fine with covering from within the organization.

The rest of the losses are largely inconsequential, although they will miss Thornton’s grit on the 4th line.
