Wasn’t this supposed to be the year the Oilers made strides?  The “next big thing” behind the bench from his AHL days in Toronto has appeared overwhelmed at times and has a deer in the headlights look.  He is the Oilers’ 4th coach in 5 years and Eakins can’t play defense any more. The Oilers are still at the bottom of the Western Conference.
