Halak had a whirlwind trade deadline week, moving from Stanley Cup contender St. Louis to last place Buffalo to playoff hopeful Washington. He didn’t play a minute for the Sabres, and has played 5 games for the Caps, putting up decent but not overwhelming numbers and has been a slight upgrade over Braden Holtby in the Washington net.
