Binghamton Senators Game In Rochester Postponed

The Binghamton Senators game in Rochester tonight against the Americans has been postponed due to the weather. The Monroe County area is expecting blizzard like conditions throughout the day leading into Thursday with snow accumulations reaching up to 20 inches in some areas. The game will be made up on this Sunday at 5:05pm. This is the first postponement that I can remember in Binghamton’s hockey history. I’m sure their has been some, but it’s been a while.

The make up game will now conclude a three games in three day weekend coming up for the Senators as Friday night they take on the team they are chasing in the East Division, the Norfolk Admirals, and Saturday night against Rochester, both games at home. This is going to be a critical weekend for the club as they look to put an end to their six game losing streak and get back into the penthouse in the division.

The Sens have a game on hand over Norfolk and two on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton as those two teams are tied for first place each with 72 points to Binghamton’s 71. The cancellation of tonight’s contest now puts that focus on Friday night for the battle of first place along with the Penguins taking on Hamilton at home.
