In the forward unit, the offense runs through #19. He is among a select few players in his era that has managed over a point per game in his career. In his last full season, Spezza was 4th in NHL scoring and was in on just under 35% of the team’s goals in 2011-12. He also took more faceoffs than anyone in the league that season, and was in the top 25 in the NHL in winning those draws. The biggest question mark will continue to surround his health and the wonky back that he had surgically repaired earlier this year, and cost him most of last season.
