While a game in Vancouver in March can hardly be called a Winter Classic, and a stadium with a retractable roof can hard be considered truly outdoors, the Senators will be playing in front of their biggest crowd ever when the face the Canucks at BC place stadium. It will be their first “outdoor” game in franchise history. I just wonder how hard it would have to rain before they close the roof and make it like the days when the Lightning played in the “thunderdome”, a baseball stadium, which was considered tacky in 1994-95.
