Boston Bruins Claim Kaspars Daugavins On Waivers From The Ottawa Senators

He almost made it all the way through the waiver process, but popular Senators winger Kaspars Daugavins is now a member of the Boston Bruins.  The divisional rival picked up the penalty killing specialist, no doubt to fill the same role in beantown due to the absence of former Senator Chris Kelly.

Daugavins had 6 goals and 8 assists in 84 games with the Senators and was a key member of the 2011 Calder Cup Championship in Binghamton.

Best of luck to Daugavins on his new team.  Unless they meet in the playoffs, then its “Sorry, Kaspars”.
