At his pregame press briefing, Ottawa Senators coach Paul MacLean announced that Dave Dziurzynski will return to the lineup this afternoon for the first time since he was knocked out cold by Frazer McLaren on March 6th after playing 3 seconds.

Mar 6, 2013; Toronto, ON, Canada; Ottawa Senators left wing Dave Dziurzynski (59) is led away by center Zack SMith (15) and right wing Chris Neil (25) after he was hit by Toronto Maple Leafs left wing Frazer McLaren (38) at the Air Canada Centre. Mandatory Credit: Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

Coming out of the lineup will be Ottawa’s only goal scorer against Boston, Kaspars Daugavins.  While taking Daugavins out might come as a surprise to some, its not like he is a streaky scorer and when he gets one there are more to come.  He is a player who works hard and will chip in with the odd goal here and there.  To get Dziurzynski back in, someone has to sit and Daugavins is probably the least offensive threat in the lineup.   Jim O’Brien will also sit out as the other healthy scratch.

Both Marc Methot and Sergei Gonchar will take the pregame warmup and are expected to dress, meaning Mike Lundin will come back out for the Sens. (NOTE: SO I WAS WRONG, it will be Andre Benoit coming out of the lineup)
