With a rare 2 full days in between games, the Ottawa Senators could get at least one player back from the infirmary as Sportsnet reported just before todays game that Milan Michalek skated hard on his own Sunday and should be ready to go when the Senators travel to Toronto for Wednesday night’s game.

Sunday was the 9th consecutive game Michalek missed after tweaking something in his knee during warmup for the Pittsburgh game that would eventually see Erik Karlsson also get injured.
Michalek led the Senators with 35 goals last season, and his speed and offense has been sorely missed. He struggled even when he was in the lineup after Jason Spezza‘s injury, but at this point anyone with any offensive presence would be a boon to the Senators lineup.
