Avalanche Waste Little Time in Matching Calgary’s Offer Sheet…O’Reilly Stays In Colorado

Perhaps against their better judgement, the Colorado Avalanche have apparently matched the Flames’ offer sheet for restricted Free Agent Ryan O’Reilly, and the young centre will remain in the Mile High City.  The decision came merely hours after he signed the offer sheet, although they had a week to mull over the deicison.

O’Reilly will apparently get a signing bonus of $2.5 M and then a pro-rated salary of $1M for this season, then $6.5M next season.
