It was a very light night in the NHL with only one game after a dozen on Thursday and ahead of a busy Hockey Day in Canada Saturday,  Here is a really quick stop in the Big D:

  1. Dallas scored 2 first period power play goals and that was all they would need as they downed Anaheim by a score of 3-1.  Trevor Daley and Jamie Benn scored those goals on the man advantage on Jonas Hiller, who left the game after 1 period with a lower body injury.  After Nick Bonino had brought the Ducks back within 1 with a goal late in the second, Loui Eriksson iced it with a nice rising wrist shot over the should of Viktor Fasth to give the Stars some insurance for the win.

As mentioned earlier, Saturday is a very busy day with 12 games, including 4 Hockey Day In Canada matchups.  Winnipeg and Ottawa kick it off while Edmonton and Detroit square off at the same time.  Toronto and Montreal meet up at 7:00 while Calgary and Vancouver cap it off at 10:00.
