The crowded crease of the Ottawa Senators couldn’t last forever, and the Senators made the only move that truly made sense – they have sent Robin Lehner to Binghamton.

The Swedish netminder might be the future of the franchise between the pipes, but the move ensures that he will get playing time, and the Senators will not lose Ben Bishop to waivers, which he would have been subject to if the Sens decided to send him down.
Bishop will be Craig Anderson‘s backup, and could see his first action in one of the stops in Florida, either Thursday or Friday.
