Jason Spezza Part Of Canadian Spengler Cup Squad

Ottawa Senators Centre Jason Spezza is among a group of Switzerland based NHLers and normally Europe-based Canadians that will represent Canada in the Spangler Cup.  THE annual tournament is played in Davis, Switzerland between representatives from Elite league’s in Russia, Czech Republic, Germany and Switzerland along with the host club and Canada.

Joining Spezza on Team Canada will be John Tavares, Patrick Bergeron, Tyler Seguin, Ryan Smyth, Carlos Coliacovo, Jonathan Bernier and Devan Dubnyk.

The host HC Davis will have Joe Thornton, Patrick Kane and Loui Ericksson; The Germans will have Jason Pominville, Marcel Goc and Denis Seidenberg; the Russians will have former Senators Alexei Kaigarodov and Military Filatov; and the Swiss team features Cory Schneider, former Sen Joel Kwiatkowski and Eganville native Shawn Heins.

The tournament begins Boxing Day and will also be broadcast on TSN.
