Over the course of the next week or two I’ll be making posts featuring scans from various material from the “Bring Back The Senators” campaign. If you’re like me, you were too young (or not even born!) to remember anything about this campaign. This is your chance to have a blast to the past and see parts of how the campaign unfolded. Without further ado, here’s the third post featuring the remainder of the first ever Power Play newsletter that was introduced in the last post
Part 1: https://senshot.com/2012/08/12/bring-back-the-senators-part-1/
Part 2: https://senshot.com/2012/08/13/bring-back-the-senators-part-2/
Second Page: Gives a great overview of everything that went down to help bring the Ottawa Senators back. Also another look at the original design for the site where Scotiabank Place now sits.
Third Page: Continues the timeline of events that brought back the Senators. As well shows an artist’s rendering of what the inside of The Palladium was supposed to look like with 22,500 seats. Notice our awesome scoreboard!
Fourth Page: On the top left you’ll notice a lot of concepts that never really came to fruition such as a hotel linked to the Palladium or these so called “night clubs”.
That’s it for this post, stay tuned for more in the next update! Hope you enjoyed this peak into our Ottawa Senators past.
