Senators Select Cody Ceci 15th Overall

The Ottawa Senators stepped up to the podium with the 15th pick and much to my delight the words out of Tim Murray’s mouth was music to my ears:

Cody Ceci of the Ottawa 67’s.

I saw Ceci play live at least 35 times this season and he will be a perfect fit.  He doesn’t make mistakes and is unflappable.  He is capable of playing upwards of 35 minutes in the OHL without showing any signs of fatigue.

This is a great pick, someone who can be a power play guy and a top 4 defenseman, if not a top 2.

He joins Shane Prince in the Senators organization as the pipeline in Ottawa is finally open.
