DAMN – Anderson Injures Hand In Kitchen Accident
Details are sketchy, but Ottawa Senators goalie Craig Anderson is out indefinitely after he injured his hand while preparing dinner on Wednesday night at home. He had to be treated in hospital, with rumours of tendon damage and surgery being required circulating.
The Senators will likely have more to say after today’s practice, but Robin Lehner will likely get the call to replace him for the time being, and depending how long Anderson is out, the Senators have about 3 days to decide if they want to bring a stop-gap in via trade.
Depending on the damage done, it could be 10 days or it could be two months for Anderson to recover.
Now is when you lament the recent 7 game losing streak where points were lost and not put in the bank to create an even bigger cushion for the team in the playoff race.
A big GET WELL SOON to Craig Anderson!
