Your Ottawa Senators get back to game action tonight as they look to rebound from last night’s lost to the Detroit Red Wings. In round one of the Battle of Ontario, the Sens will look to hand the Toronto Maple Leafs their first loss of the season. With their second game in 24 hours, the Sens will be facing a well rested Leafs squad in Toronto.

The Sens will look to play a complete game tonight and will hope for a better defensive effort from the entire team. Craig Anderson will be back in nets and will try to improve on his Goals Against Average of 5.00 and Save Percentage of .872. The Leafs will counter with James Reimer who posted a shutout in his first game of the season.

Bobby Butler will be a healthy scratch tonight as he had a game low 6:28 of ice time last night and fail to do anything on the ice. He’ll get to spend a night watching from the press box and maybe he can see what he needs to do to be effective. Butler’s loss is Zenon Konopka‘s gain as he will draw back into the line-up.

Players To Watch

OTTAWA ~ Zenon Konopka will see his first game action tonight and will look to impress his new head coach. With a lot of testosterone in tonight’s line-up for both teams, Konopka should be able to spark some life back into the Battle of Ontario.

TORONTO ~ Colton Orr will suit up for his first game of the season tonight. After missing the last 36 games of the season last year with a concussion, it’ll be interesting to see if Orr will change the way he plays the game. With Neil, Konopka and Smith in the line-up for Ottawa tonight, we’ll see if Orr feels like playing punch face with someone.

Here’s the Sens expected line-up for tonight’s game:

Forwards:
Michalek – Spezza – Filatov
Greening – Zibanejad – Alfredsson
Foligno – Da Costa – Neil
Condra – Smith – Konopka

Defence:
Phillips – Lee
Cowen – Gonchar
Kuba – Karlsson

Goaltenders:
Anderson
Auld

And here’s the Leaf‘s expected line-up for tonight:

Forwards:
Frattin – Grabovski – Kulemin
Lupul – Bozak – Kessel
Armstrong – Steckel – Dupuis
Brown – Lombardi – Orr

Defence:
Gunnarsson – Phaneuf
Liles – Schenn
Gardiner – Komisarek

Goaltenders:
Reimer
Gustavsson

You can check out TSN‘s preview of tonight’s game here. Here’s the Sens’ Gord Wilson and his preview of tonight’s game too.

Tonight’s game should be a very physical battle. There’s not much love on the ice tonight and maybe that’s what’s best for these two bottom of the league teams. Whichever goalie can keep their team in the game longer, will get the “W” tonight.
