If you are a fan of the prospects of the Ottawa Senators, this is a prime weekend for you to be able to see two of the three first round picks from last summer’s NHL draft.
On Friday, Matt Puempel (24th overall) and the Peterborough Petes visit the Ottawa 67’s in what could prove to be an important early season tilt that has first place implications in the young season. The 67’s trail the Petes by 3 points in the standings. Puck drop is at 7:30 pm
Meanwhile, on Sunday afternoon (2:00 pm start), Stefan Noeson (21st overall) and the Plymouth Whalers make their one and only appearance in Ottawa this season. Plymouth beat the 67’s 3-2 one week earlier, with Noesen chipping in one assist.
Both prospects are off to very good starts this season, and this will be a good opportunity for Sens fans to get a good luck at more of the future of the Senators.
Both games are available on Rogers Cable 22 TV, with Friday’s game being aired on CFRA 580, while Sunday’s matchup is on TEAM1200.
Better yet, make your way down to the J Benson Cartage Centre (Ottawa Civic Centre) and check out the action LIVE!
