Game Day: OTT vs CHI

September 11, 2011: 2 pm on RogersTV 22

VS

Your Ottawa Senators get back into action this afternoon as they continue on with their Rookie Tournament. Today, Ottawa squares off against the rookies from the Chicago Blackhawks organization. Coming off a impressive 4-0 win over the rooks from the Pittsburgh Penguins yesterday, Ottawa looks to continue their winning ways.

Everything went right for Ottawa last game. They got on the board early and often; their defense was solid; they were able to throw around their weight; and Robin Lehner was amazing. Chicago on the other hand suffered a 4-2 loss at the hands of the Maple Leafs. With their second game within 24 hours, the Hawks will be in tough with the very quick Sens squad.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

OTTAWA ~ Stephane Da Costa ~ He was all over the ice last game and showed why he was highly sought after. He had a number of good rushes yesterday and showed his creativity. We’ll see if he can bury one today.

OTTAWA ~ David Rundblad ~ He was very impressive in his debut as he looked dangerous at both ends of the ice. With a number of rushes up the ice, Rundblad showed flashes of why he was the best defenseman in the Swedish Elite League last year.

After today’s game, Ottawa will wrap up the tournament on Tuesday night as they play the Toronto Maple Leafs.
