Ottawa Adds Depth, Signs Veteran Mark Parrish

The Ottawa Senators have added some more depth to the organization by signing 34 year old forward Mark Parrish to a one year contract.  The deal is a two-way contract, so most likely the veteran will spend most of the season in Binghamton.

Parrish is a much traveled veteran of over 700 NHL games, with 7 different franchises and has scored over 200 goals.  He has spent a bulk of the last two seasons in the AHL, for the Tampa and Buffalo organizations.  He did manage to play 18 NHL games over those two seasons, accumulating two assists.

Parrish had 51 points in 56 games for the Portland Pirates of the AHL last season, so he will provide a scoring punch for the Binghamton Senators, and will be in the mix when a call-up is required.
