Well, I guess you could say we did better at picking season-ending awards than we did picking playoff winners! Of the 7 awards SenShot picked over the past week, we were right on 4 of them. Here is a full list of the NHL Award winners:

Ted Lindsay Award (MVP voted by the Players): Daniel Sedin, Vancouver
GM of the Year Award: Mike Gillis, Vancouver
Mark Messier Leadership Award: Zdeno Chara, Boston
Rocket Richard Trophy (Top Goal Scorer): Corey Perry, Anaheim
Art Ross Trophy (Top Scorer): Daniel Sedin, Vancouver
William Jennnings Trophy (Team With Fewest Goals Against): Roberto Luongo & Corey Schneider, Vancouver
NHL Foundation Award (Community Involvement): Dustin Brown, Los Angeles
King Clancy Award (Leadership on & off the ice): Doug Weight, New York Islanders
Also, the cover athlete for EA Sports NHL ’12 was unveiled, and the lucky player is Steven Stamkos from the Lightning.
The Awards show puts a final wrap on the 2010-11 season. Now we can focus on the future, and the future begins with the 2011 NHL Draft which begins this Friday in St. Paul, Minnesota. SenShot will have complete coverage of the draft which will be an important building block for the franchise as it goes forward.
