Former Sen Chris Kelly reached a career milestone as he won his first Stanley Cup in his six year career with the Boston Bruins. Playing in his second Stanley Cup final (he was here for Ottawa’s run in 2007), Kelly recorded 13 points in 25 playoff games. Kelly played a solid game centering the third line and was able to shut down opposing teams.
A fan favorite in Ottawa, his trade out of the capital was hard to swallow as he was one of the hardest working Senators and played his role perfectly. With the classy move by Ottawa GM Byran Murray, who sent Kelly to a Cup contender in Boston, maybe Kelly can return to Ottawa when he gets his day with the Cup (he is from Toronto so it is unknown yet if he will come to Ottawa). Chris Kelly is also the second Ottawa draft pick to win the Stanley Cup (Hossa was the first).

Congratulations to Chris Kelly from SenShot and Sens Army.
