Bruins Regain Home Ice Advantage

The Boston Bruins took back something the Tampa Bay Lightning stole from them in game 1 of their Eastern Conference Final – home ice advantage.  The Bruins got an early goal from David Krejci and that was all Tim Thomas needed as Boston defeated the Lightning 2-0.  Andrew Ference added an insurance marker in the third period to seal the victory.  The shutout was Thomas’ first of the playoffs, making 31 saves.  Dwayne Roloson was good, making 25 saves after being pulled on Tuesday, but obviously got no support from his offense.

The Bruins now lead the series 2-1, with Game 4 taking place on Saturday at noon ET.

Tonight, the Vancouver Canucks will march into San Jose and attempt to putthe Sharks’ backs against the wall and take a 3-0 stranglehold in the series.  San Jose will have to do a better job of keeping their composure this game, but if Vancouver plays the way they did in Game 2, it will be a tall order to beat them.
