Pascal Leclaire had his final goodbye Friday as he officially has been shutdown for the rest of the year. This past week, Leclaire had surgery on his hip/leg to correct the nagging injury that has effected him all season. With a recovery time frame of 3-4 months, Leclaire will begin his long road back to the NHL this summer. Only suiting up for 14 games this season, Leclaire finishes this year with a record of 4-7-1.
With the acquisition and recent re-signing of Craig Anderson, GM Byran Murray publicity stated that Leclaire would not be back in Ottawa next year. A UFA this summer who is coming off two injury-plagued seasons in Ottawa, Leclaire’s agent will have to pull off a miracle to find a team willing to take a chance in Leclaire. Pascal leaves Ottawa the same way he came in, hobbling on crutches.
Good luck Pascal in your rehab and future NHL career.
