With the Sens and Leafs facing off tonight in Ottawa, and with both teams on losing slumps and free-falling in the standings, tonight’s game has the recipe for an explosion. When teams are in disarray, a good gut-it-out-for-the-team win can do wonders for them. Fighting for each other proves to your teammates you still care and will give anything to win.
I will be looking for two combatants tonight to help spark their team and get the two points for them. Matt Carkner and Colton Orr have a storied past having faced off fives in the last two seasons. Orr leads the battle with a record of 4-1 with the last match coming October 9th of last year. But with Carkner’s recent destruction of NY’s Derek Boogaard and Pittsburgh’s Eric Godard, Carkner is ready to challenge for the title again.
