11th EAST (14-17-4)VS.7th WEST (17-10-6)
Your Ottawa Senators play their last game before the Christmas holiday break tonight against the Nashville Predators. As your Sens prepare for their next loss, at least we can look forward to the holidays. With the Sens going 3-4-3 in their last ten games, and the Preds going 7-2-1, Ottawa is in tough tonight. With both teams in the bottom ten in the league in scoring, look for team defence to be huge tonight. Uh-oh!!!
There will be a few changes to the line-up tonight as Coach Clouston has put Alex Kovalev on the fourth line in favor of Ryan Shannon on the wing with Spezza. Kovi has been in the doghouse lately and has seen his ice time decrease the last few games. Brian Lee will also draw back into the line-up as Matt Carkner will sit tonight. Hopefully Lee can build off his steady game he had a few games ago against Minnesota.
Brian Elliott will get the nod in net tonight as Pascal Leclaire is still on the shelf with a lower body injury. Mike Brodeur has been called up from the AHL to back-up Elliott. Check back here at SenShot for a game report after the game. Enjoy the game and GO SENS GO!!!!!
