5th East (9-7-1) VS. 2nd East (11-4-2)
Your Ottawa Senators continue their tough road trip tonight with a battle against the Philadelphia Flyers. Coming off a big victory against the Boston Bruins Saturday night, Ottawa wants to continue their strong play and move up the Eastern Conference standings.
Coming off his first shutout of the season, Brian Elliott will start his 14th game of the season and will need to be sharp. The Flyers are the second highest scoring team in the NHL and have won eight of their last ten games.
To win this game, the Sens need to contain the young Flyers stars and not give the 7th ranked powerplay any chances by limiting their penalties. And with rookie netminder Sergei Bobrovky in net, Ottawa needs to test him early and often.
Ottawa will also need secondary scoring from their forwards as the big line has been doing all of the scoring as of late. With the defence corps Philly has, Ottawa will need production from every line to win tonight. Check back here at SenShot for a game report after the game. Enjoy the game and GO SENS GO!!!!!
