SenShot, your favourite Ottawa Senators blog on the web is expanding. In an effort to bring you more content and news from the world of Senators hockey, we will now be having two writers. Some might say a two-headed monster. I will still be the lead writer here, though, but our new back-up writer is…
Tony Mendes. Tony will be covering the Binghamton Senators, Ottawa’s affliate in the NHL, the Ottawa Senators’ prospects, and a statistical in-depth look at the players in the Nation’s Capital. Mr. Mendes will also be running the “Top 20 Prospects” from now on, updating it every month. Here is Tony’s short bio:
"My name is Tony Mendes and I currently live in Ottawa. I am currently in school studying Sports Business Management and I am a fan of the Ottawa Senators and hockey in general. I study the business side of sports and how the two sides of sports, athletics and business interact. I am glad to be part of the FanSided team and I hope that I get to know all of you better."
As we said before, we are expanding, and this isn’t the end. We already have a Twitter Account, and very soon wil be creating a Facebook page for all SenShot fans to discuss and voice their opinions. Whatever we do, it’s for you guys, the fans.
A bit of news from the Senator world. Defenseman RFA Chris Campoli has filed for arbitration. It’s not a surprise for me, as it seems like money is agreed on between the two sides but Campoli may want a 4-year deal while Bryan Murray is only offering max. 2 years. Nick Foligno and Peter Regin should be re-signed shortly, likely within the next couple of days.
