The State of Florida Welcomes You: The Land of Daniel Alfredsson

I read an interesting article on the Ottawa Senators’s website today. It was briefly talking about Captain Daniel El Kick-Ass and his milestone game at the Bank Atlantic Center tonight in Sunrise, Florida. It also mentioned Alfredsson’s first career NHL goal, which he scored on October 12th, 1997 in Miami at the old Miami Arena. I guess everything comes in full circle. Wouldn’t it be amazing if in his last season wearing the Centurion he would score his last goal in Florida. Great, now I have a brain cramp.

It was first said for tonight’s game that Milan Michalek would return to the lineup, but he’s taking the two more days off to rest better. Nick Foligno joins the second line, re-uniting with Mike Fisher and alex Kovalev. Bobby Butler is a healthy scratch along with Shean Donovan (surprise) while Ryan Shannon draws back in on the third line with Chris Kelly and Matt Cullen.

I really have nothing else to say about this game. If we win, we clinch 5th place in the Eastern Conference. Secretly, I hope we meet the New Jersey Devils in the First Round, but it wouldn’t hurt to face the Pisses over in Pittsburgh.

GO DANIEL ALFREDSSON!!!
