Gameday #10: Senators @ Panthers

The Otawa Senators head to the Sunshine State for some revenge on the Cats. After losing last season’s series 3-1, Ottawa will be looking to win it’s first against Florida. Both teams are on losing streaks, but Ottawa has been the better team so far by leaps and bounds.

Filip Kuba will make his return to the team tonight in an effort to boost the power-play. Shean Donovan will be on the fourth line with Ruutu and Kelly while Ryan Shannon will be the healthy scratch. Florida’s leading scorer, David Booth, is out with a concussion, while Radek Dvorak is out with a knee injury. Remember, the team doesn’t have Jaw Bouwmeester anymore, and they are counting heavily on Jordan Leopold and Keith Ballard to pick up the slack. They do however have Nathan Horton and Stephen Weiss, two very good snipers.

The key to the game will have to be if the Sens can play a balanced attack. Tomas Vokoun has been known to make “The Save” at times and Ottawa will have to shoot at him more. I have a feeling tonight will be good, though.

Ottawa 4 (Regin, Foligno, Kovalev, Spezza)
Florida 1 (Weiss)
