The Binghamton Senators look to make a clean sweep of the weekend searching for their fourth win in a row as they play an afternoon game today against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. It will be interesting to see which goaltender will get the nod, but after Saturday night’s performance look for the return of Peter Mannino in front of the net.

MATCH-UP HISTORY

Binghamton and Bridgeport yet to hook up with only two games slated, as the Senators make their only appearance of the season in the state of Connecticut.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Dustin Jeffrey, BRI – Just acquired on Mar 2nd by the NY Islanders in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks for ex-Senator Cory Conacher as both clubs switch forwards. For the Sound Tigers, he has 4 goals, 3 assists in 7 games as Jeffrey leads the team with 21 goals and 48 points combined with the Comets.

Shane Prince, BNG – Prince looks to finish out the season strong as he has upped his game this season and is setting career highs by the numbers as he’s also playing for a contract next season. Had the game winner for the second time in a row in Saturday’s win over the Penguins as he’s the club leader with 54 points.

THREE KEYS TO THE GAME

1.) Fill in Guys Adequate Getting the Job DoneLuke Richardson continues his trademark of getting the best out of his players as with Saturday night’s win down in Wilkes-Barre, there were six regulars out (including Matt Puempel being up in Ottawa) and three ECHL players in, and forward Zack Smith thrown into the mix. Many, many roster moves performed over the course of the season and here the team sits at a .500 record.

2.) Will the Team Have Enough in the Tank? – With the club winning their last six out of eight including their last three, they move back to a .500 record and are gaining on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms for the third spot in the division. With only 12 games left including today’s match up, the Sens are 13th in the conference 11 points out of the final playoff spot after winning the East Division last season.

3.) First Line Continues to Sparkle – The trio of Carter Camper, Cole Schneider and Prince have all found their groove as they are red-hot as of late since being reunited a few weeks back. All three could return next season, or all three may go elsewhere during the off-season as it’s up to Ottawa to retain them or some, perhaps all three, may end up playing for the Buffalo Sabres Organization next year.
